LCA es más que un simple programa de educación para adultos. Los cadetes tienen la oportunidad de recuperar créditos de la escuela secundaria, obtener su GED, recibir capacitación en RCP, recibir un certificado de manipuladores de alimentos, experiencia laboral, habilidades informáticas y más. La academia continúa desarrollando y brindando capacitación crítica en habilidades para la vida para que sus graduados estén listos para la vida.

Education & Training Opportunities at LCA

LCA provides a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom, offering academic excellence, life skills development, and career-focused training to prepare Cadets for success in all aspects of life. Through this well-rounded approach, LCA empowers Cadets with the knowledge, skills, and training needed to achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals.

Education at LCA Includes:

Academic Success – Cadets can earn a GED as young as 16 or work toward gaining, maintaining, or exceeding high school credits to stay on track for graduation.

Life Skills Education – Training in financial literacy, communication, conflict resolution, discipline, time management, and personal development to build independence and confidence.

Education Pathways – Individual guidance on life plan develop and post-graduation opportunities, including college, trade schools, military, or workforce entry.

Vocational Classes – Hands-on learning in career and technical education (CTE) programs, providing job skills and certifications that lead to employment.

Nutrition & Wellness – Education on healthy eating habits, physical fitness, and overall well-being to support long-term success.

Choose your academic path

LCA has two Educational Tracks: Track I- GED and Track II- High School Path

Track I: GED PathCadets choosing to take the GED will attend classes focus on the next GED test and the one to follow after. After completing the test classes will move on to the next subject. Tutoring and educational support is available on request. Re-testing is available as needed. Cadets who complete the program, but do not pass all GED tests are eligible to use vouchers for re-testing after graduation.

Track II: High Diploma Path: As a fully accredited alternative education program, high school students can transfer to LCA to attend the 5-month residential program and take the high school diploma path as their education option. Allows Cadets to obtain high school credits while attending LCA with the goal of returning to their high school after graduating the academy. 

LCA offers an array of accredited classes and combines virtual, hands-on and instructor lead teaching to help Cadets succeed. Gain, maintain or surpass the credits they need according to their grade level, transcripts and academic requirements. 

The classes are customized to the students’ academic needs, IEPs, and their original school’s graduation requirements.

Vocational Programs

LCA’s Vocational Education program provides Cadets with job skills training and certifications. It offers opportunities for trade certifications, knowledge of career paths, knowledge of how to seek employment, and resources they have available.

Vocational classes may vary from class to class. During Acclimation Phase cadets are briefed on what classes are available that cycle.

Cadet must meet all requirements such as age, behavior, academics, and performance. Seats per vocation are limited and not guaranteed.
